The City of Albany strongly encourages Small Business firms to participate in this bid. The Southwest Georgia Regional Airport is seeking to have rubber removal services on the Airport runway along with restriping to maintain compliance with FAA standards. The selected vendor will provide rubber removal per FAA Advisory Circular 150/5320-12C and painting per FAA 150/5200-18C for the Airport runway. The paint fades as it is continually exposed to sun and weather elements and needs to be replaced frequently to be in compliance with FAA requirements. When painting, all markings on the runway surface should be re-painted to ensure uniformity on the paint. 1. All rubber removal should comply with FAA Advisory Circular 150/5320-12C. Rubber removal will be by either chemical application or high-pressure water of approximately 275,000 Sq. Ft. with an area of 2,634 ft. long X 60 ft. wide off the Runway 5 approach end and 1,930 ft. long X 60 ft. wide on the Runway 23 approach end. 2. All paint used should comply with FAA Advisory Circular 150/5200-18C. Totals for all paint areas is as follows: White - 108,306 sq. ft., Yellow - 3,000 sq. ft. and Black - 23,837 sq. ft. 3. Only FAA approved type 1 or type 3 glass beads MUST be used on all white and yellow paint based upon application rate and type of waterborne paint and glass beads used as per FAA guidance listed in Advisory Circular 150/5370-10H. Glass beads are NOT to be applied to black paint. 4. Only Type I, Type II, or Type III Waterborne paint meeting Federal Specification TT-P-1952F may be used per FAA Guidance listed in Advisory Circular 150/5370-10H (item P-620). 5. Only paint colors meeting Fed Std. No 595 color numbers per FAA guidance listed in Advisory Circular 150/5370-10H may be used (Item p-620 - White=37925, Black =37038, Yellow=33538 or 33655). Paint must be infused with a FAA approved Algaecide, fungicide, and rust prohibitor. 6.All paint and glass beads must be installed per manufacturer and FAA specifications and take into consideration adverse weather conditions prior to application (wind speeds, pavement surface temperature, moisture present on pavement, etc). All paint and/or glass beads spilled or otherwise not infused into an approved and FAA compliant permanent marking must be collected and removed by the contractor prior to daily runway openings. This project will be bid on a unit price basis for all specified work and will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest total cost. All Corporations should provide corporate seal, a copy of the Secretary of States Certificate of Incorporation, and a listing of the principals of the corporation with the bid.
