The Town of Bridgewater seeks to improve traffic flow on Main Street through an upgrade of its traffic control system. The goal is to improve traffic flow at each of its Main Street intersections by linking each intersection into a unified system, reducing backups and wait times on Main Street. This will reduce traffic delays and congestion and improve travel time reliability. SCOPE OF SERVICE A. The vendor should furnish, install, integrate, and test all necessary software and hardware, and make operational an ASCT system comprised of a system capable of implementing real-time centralized control and monitoring of traffic signals. a. Controllers shall include all necessary modules required for cellular communications or a comparable mode of wireless communication. B. The vendor should provide two training sessions for up to five (5) Town staff members. The first training session is anticipated to occur when the system is initially deployed, with the second session occurring 6-12 months later at the Town's discretion. C. The vendor should provide technical support to the Town for the life of the warranty. Technical support includes, but is not limited to the following: a. Troubleshooting the system b. Routine questions c. Configuration questions or changes d. Customized reporting Proposing vendors shall submit one digital proposal or three (3) printed copies. Printed proposals shall be provided in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Traffic Signal Control Improvements Proposal." Digital proposals provided shall be transmitted via email with a single composite pdf attachment and subject line including "Traffic Signal Control Improvements Proposal" and the firm's name. Proposing vendors are responsible for confirming that their proposal has been received.
