The furnishing of all necessary labor, equipment, and material for the rehabilitation of approximately 500 sanitary service laterals, 23,100 LF of 8-inch and 10-inch diameter mainline sanitary sewer, and approximately 63 manholes. All proposals must be accompanied by a Bank draft, Cashiers Check, or certified check made payable to Treasurer, Decatur, Illinois, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid or Bid bond in the same amount. Eighteen percent (18%) of the total hours worked should be performed by minority workers. The Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois, reserves the right to accept, renegotiate or reject any or all proposals and to waive any variance from the requirements of the instructions for bidders. Work of the Project includes the furnishing of all necessary labor, equipment, and material for the complete rehabilitation of approximately 550 sanitary service laterals, 22,500 LF of 8-inch and 10-inch diameter mainline sanitary sewer, and 68 manholes. The City of Decatur (or their appointed representative) will make available additional electronic project information and data including, but not limited to, lateral sewer CCTV (only for a small number of properties), GIS data, manhole inspection pictures, private property (sump pump) inspections, cleanout location details, main line sewer CCTV and sewer tapping records. This information shall not be considered part of the bidding documents but will be made available to the Contractor for their use. If the data cannot be transmitted utilizing Microsoft One Drive (or other virtual means), the Contractor may need to provide the City, at the Contractor's cost, with an external hard drive to obtain the data.
