As described in the Bidding Documents, the bids are for a public works project which consists of improvements on Harvard Blvd from 10th Street to Peck Road as well as on Acacia Road, consisting of replacement of existing sewer pipeline with 24 inch diameter sanitary sewer pipeline and related connections and improvements, 12 inch diameter potable water pipeline installation and related connections and improvements, pavement grinding and overlay, accessible curb ramp improvements, abandonment/removal of existing water and sewer lines, and modifications to the existing storm drain system, including but not limited to replacement/installation of water services including fire services and hydrant laterals, removal/abandonment of existing water mains and appurtenances, installation of fire hydrants, combination air valves, valves, thrust blocks, miscellaneous water improvements, pressure testing, flushing and disinfection, bacteriological testing, temporary highlining, removal/abandonment of existing sewer main and appurtenances, installation of sewer manholes, manhole lining, determination of sewer lateral locations and reconnection to the new main, new sewer laterals, sewer bypassing, sewer inspection, new storm drain pipelines, removal of existing storm drains to be replaced, storm drain junction structures, replacement of traffic loops, base paving in areas of trenching or other excavations, traffic control, curb ramp replacement, modifications to existing pedestrian crosswalks (including installation of solar-powered RRFB flashing beacons and associated improvements), replacement of existing striping and signage, and installation of new striping as shown on the Plans and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the proper construction of the contemplated improvement, as indicated on the project plans, in the City of Santa Paula.
