Renovation of a municipal facility in Windsor, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Any firm selected by the town pursuant to this solicitation will be required to enter into a firm fixed price contract to provide the following goods: Air Source Heat pumps are to be installed to provide heating and cooling on the main level for all occupied spaces (auditorium, kitchen, rest rooms); and the upper level office. The proposed heating system shall meet or exceed the requirements of the Bales study cited above Controls shall allow building occupants to establish different set points for each zone. Controls shall be hardwired and attached to the wall in an agreed location. The proposal may include an option for remote access to the controls. Visibility of exposed utilities, including electrical, plumbing, and ducts shall be minimized. Windsor staff and volunteers will identify acceptable locations for indoor and outdoor units. The proposal shall indicate location of major components and the route for exposed utilities. Bids shall be for the complete project including preparation, ground work, and electrical work. If electric service upgrade is needed, it shall be considered part of this project. Contractor shall identify and take steps to obtain the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center rebate, if available. The proposal shall indicate the rebate value and any additional actions required to obtain the rebate.
