2022-DB-012 East Bay Bike Path Bridge Replacement The work will include and is not limited to: trail reconstruction, bridge replacement, site restoration, utility coordination and/or relocation and handling and disposing of contaminated materials. The State invites Design-Build Teams (Proposers) to submit proposals for the contract ("Contract") for a project (the "Project") that will include the design and reconstruction of two bridges carrying the East Bay Bike Path over the Barrington River and Palmer River in Barrington and Warren, Rhode Island, respectively. The award of the Contract will be made, and the performance of the Contract carried out in accordance with what is commonly known as the Design Build method of contracting. Due to potential funding constraints, RIDOT may, at its sole discretion, modify the scope of this project such that only one of the two bridges is replaced. This decision will be made after selection of the D/B Entity but prior to the award of the contract. In this event, the selected D/B Entity will be notified of RIDOT's intent within 72 hours of notification of selection. Proposers are required to submit three price proposals: 1. One proposal inclusive of all costs associated with the replacement of Bridges 837 and 838. 2. Replacement of Bridge 837 only. The price shall include all work associated with the full replacement of this structure. This submission shall also include a price for partial removal of the temporary path detour as well as any additional required temporary detours for Bridge 838. The D/B Entity shall also include a brief written and graphical description of its proposed detour modifications and how it plans to minimize the resulting detour. 3. Replacement of Bridge 838 only. The price shall include all work associated with the full replacement of this structure. This submission shall also include a price for partial removal of the temporary path detour as well as any additional required temporary detours for Bridge 837. The D/B Entity shall also include a brief written and graphical description of its proposed detour modifications and how it plans to minimize the resulting detour. Also included in the scope of work will be the removal of the temporary path detour route and restoration of the existing bridges carrying Route 114. Last Date to Submit Questions March 25, 2022
