The City of Lake City is soliciting bids from prospective contractors to perform improvements. Work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and services for drainage improvements and surface rehabilitation of the existing trail. Trail Remediation -Crown Section includes building up trail 1 foot high with imported suitable soil and 4 inches of GAB Trail Remediation - Super Elevated section includes building up trail 1 foot high with imported suitable soil and 4 inches of GAB 18" HDPE includes removal and replacement 24" HDPE includes removal and replacement Concrete Sidewalk 4 inches thick Concrete Flume 4 inches thick Hay Bale Check Dam The project is funded fully or partially with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funds. The selected contractor must comply with federal laws including but not limited to provisions covering Equal Employment Opportunity, the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, the Davis-Bacon Act, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, the Rights to Inventions Made Under Contract or Agreement, the Clean Air Act, The Byrd Anti-Lobbing Amendment, Debarment and Suspension, and the Drug-Free Workplace Requirements. Only bids presented with a certification from the bidder that the bid submitted is based upon the current and complete Contract Documents will be accepted. No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of Bids or until the Bidder is notified by the City whichever is sooner. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities, and formalities. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a Bond issued by a surety acceptable to the City. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Lake City, Georgia as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days after being notified that bidder had been awarded the Contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required in the Contract Documents.
