Bids shall be on company stationery and shall be signed by an authorized officer of the company. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Bid on Air Compressor" on the outside. Bids shall be on equipment that meets or exceeds all attached specifications. Alternate bids shall be clearly marked as such. Delivery time of the unit shall be stated. Product information literature or other data deemed of interest to the City regarding the bid may be submitted with the bid. Bids will be reviewed and the one deemed in the best interest of the City of Sunset Hills will be recommended to the Sunset Hills Board of Aldermen for approval at their February meeting. Provide a new 2021/2022 185CFM Diesel or Gas portable air compressor. 2. The unit shall be capable of providing 185 cfm free air delivery at a discharge pressure of 70-125 psi. 3. The unit should be capable of automatically controlled shutdown in the case of low engine oil pressure, high compressor discharge temperature, or high engine water temperature. 4. The unit shall have a spare wheel & tire. 5. This unit shall have a gull wing doors to provide excess to all components. 6. This unit shall have a 2" ball coupler. 7. This unit shall have a round RV 7 way plug for the lights to match our fleet. 8. This unit shall have a fixed heavy duty tow bars with safety chains and a heavy duty bumper. All DOT approved LED lighting and reflector package. 9. This unit shall have a 2-3/4" compressed air discharge connection with Isolation valve and automatic bleed down for any attached lines. 10. This unit shall no more than 74 db noise level. 11. This unit shall have a tool box for convenience and storage for tools and lockable doors for security. 12. This unit control system shall be a 12 volt DC controlled. 13. This unit shall have a maintenance free, 12 volt, long life battery; capable of withstanding the vibration incurred during normal use. 14. Battery shall be recharged by an engine alternator. 15. This unit shall have a master control with a convient start / stop switch. 16. This unit shall have an instrument panel shall have an air-end discharge temp gage, discharge pressure gage, a service hour meter and a malfunction indicator. 17. This unit shall have a minimum of a 25 gallon fuel tank. 18. Compressor shall be a single stage oil flooded air cooled rotary screw compressor. 19. The unit shall have a modulation control to allow variable demand loads by throttle of the inlet valve and engine depending on demand. 20. The compressor shall consist of a pneumatic inlet valve, modulation valve and blow off valve. 21. The compressor unit shall be of cast iron construction. 22. The compressor rotors shall be supported by bearings to carry the applicable load. 23. All major air and oil pipes shall be made of steel and feature flexible connections with o-ring seals to eliminate cracks and leaks. 24. The compressor shall have a differential pressure oil circulation system. A unit with an oil pump or oil stop valve is not acceptable. 25. The air intake filter to extend oil drain intervals, separator cartridge & air end life, filter shall be a spin on type and replaceable. A maintenance indicator for filter shall be standard. 26. The oil cooler shall include a drain plug to ensure complete draining without costly flushing. 27. The compressor shall be factory filled with a fully synthetic lubricant. 28. The engine shall be a 4-cycle, 4-cylinder, water cooled industrial diesel rated at minimum of 49 horsepower @ 2400 rpm. 29. The unit shall have a 12-volt electric starter. 30. The cooling fan shall be engine driven. 31. The compressor package shall be warranted for minimum period of 2 years for all components. 32. The supplier shall maintain inventory of spare parts or able to get them with in 48 hours. 33. The supplier shall deliver unit to our shop and provide a representative to explain the safety and proper operation and maintenance of this unit along with one set of maintenance items, air and oil filters. 34. The bidder shall provide a complete set of manual(s) that contain operating instructions, service/maintenance instructions, and parts ordering information. This manual(s) shall have complete and detailed information on the service and maintenance of this unit. A CD is acceptable.
