Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for the construction of a transportation facility.
Construction of a Transit Zero Emissions Maintenance Facility, and a Community Transit Hub/Park and Ride near the downtown core of Sydney. A partnership that includes a park and ride format for the future Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) Sydney Downtown Campus will be incorporated into the design of the facility. TIMELINE: Project has been paused. Timelines for design, tender and construction are undetermined. Further update may be available in 2026. Project has received a combined investment of $54 million from all three levels of Government (includes funding for new electric buses). *Construction budget to be confirmed.
