Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Work generally consists of the following items: .1 Removal of existing features at Wentworth Park in Sydney, Nova Scotia, as noted on the project drawings, including, but not limited to existing asphalt pavement, existing subgrade gravels, existing landscaping masonry, existing topsoil and sod, existing decorative stone railings and existing gazebo structure. .2 Replacement of the existing architectural block stairs with two new concrete stairs complete with steel handrails. .3 Installation of new decorative steel railings. .4 Installation of a new steel gazebo structure. .5 Installation of new concrete slab to support new railing near the existing gazebo structure. .6 Replacement of the existing steel benches at Wentworth Park within the project area (10 total). Note that supply of new benches is not included in the scope of work. Contractor to utilize CBRM's steel benches which are currently in storage. Existing support posts are to remain and be prepared and repainted. .7 Application of topsoil and sod on disturbed grass surfaces. .8 Reinstatement of all disturbed surfaces and services. .9 All related Work and incidentals associated with the above Work, including traffic control and survey." Award is subject to final approval.
