Jefferson county public schools will receive sealed bids and award contract(s) for Phase I HVAC renovation at Hazelwood elementary school, Louisville, KY at 1325 Bluegrass Avenue Louisville, KY 40215 JCPS Board of Education has established goals and good faith effort of 15% participation for Minority Business Enterprises, and 10% for Women Business Enterprises in all construction contracting. JCPS reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bids received where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner The Architectural scope of work - includes a partial roof replacement, window replacement, miscellaneous painting and flooring upgrades, and some demolition and new walls. Existing doors are being replaces in one wing. The architectural work also includes a full ceiling replacement and other work to accommodate the new HVAC system. There is miscellaneous structural work to accommodate the changes. Exterior work included asphalt paving and parking reconfiguration, new fencing and miscellaneous painting. The Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing scope of work - includes replacing the HVAC system in the school. New boilers, chillers, air handling units, ductwork, and pumps will be installed. A sprinkler system will be installed. New light fixtures and the associated electrical system renovations required for the mechanical systems upgrade will be provided. Other electrical system upgrades include a new emergency generator, intercom, security, and fire alarm system. A new domestic hot water heater, pumps and plumbing fixtures will be installed. Phasing: The work will be phased as indicated in the Schedule and on the Drawings Final Project Completion Date October 10, 2023 (Tuesday)
