Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in West Valley City, Utah. Working plans call for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The Ridgeland Pump Station project will replace and upgrade the Ridgeland Booster Pump Station and generator. The existing water storage tank/reservoir and storage building onsite will remain. The following existing infrastructure will be demolished and relocated: control valve shed, booster pump station building and generator building. Additionally, the existing refueling station will be relocated. The site improvements include adding stormwater detention basins and a tie-in from them to West Valley City's stormwater system. The project also includes a new 16-inch waterline onsite and removing existing 14-inch asbestos cement pipe. Finally, the project includes various site work and yard piping. The project will be implemented within the footprint of the existing site. The project is needed to upgrade outdated facilities that are well beyond their useful life due to their age and, thus, create an operational risk for the District. Construction of the project is anticipated to begin Spring 2023, pending Division of Drinking water design and environmental approval. The electrical panel and PLC will be manufactured by APCO. This project is likely using State Revolving Funds, and thus will need to adhere to federal requirements for all materials and equipment and wages. This includes Davis Bacon wages and other BABA requirements.
