Project involves complete renovation of Building 153 at Bethany Beach Training Site, Bethany Beach, DE. Bidders are required to show identification at the Guard Booth when entering the site and must sign in at the Security Officers desk once inside. Please allow sufficient time to comply with these requirements. No exceptions Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBE) and Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (VBE) will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids on this contract and will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration of this award. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days' notice by certified delivery, facsimile machine or other electronic means to those bidders receiving plans. The project involves the following at Bethany Beach Training Site - Physical Fitness Center located in Bethany Beach, DE: new construction of a 6,808 SF building to support the Delaware Army National Guard fitness test requirements. There will be demolition of the existing fitness center, with regrading and excavation to prepare the site for the new building. This building will be a steel framed building on concrete foundations, with masonry infill walls. There is a single-slope standing seam metal roof, south facing, with a separate flat roof that houses the rooftop unit. There will be site improvements including sidewalks, storm water management features, bollards and chains, and parking. There will also be HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, telecommunications trades involved.
