The work is generally described as follows: Concrete pavement repairs on various street across the city. Proposed work schedule is for Spring/Summer of 2022. Proposals will be taken for said construction work listed above by unit prices, as an aggregate bid each group. All Proposals for said construction work must be made on blanks furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit of 5% of the amount bid. Bid Security to be made payable to the Treasurer of the City of Ralston as liquidated damages in case the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refuses, to enter into contract and furnish bond in accordance herewith. Bid Securities will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Copies of the contract documents are on file with the City of Ralston for examination by bidders. A complementary set of bid documents is available via email by requesting them from the city clerk at mkelly@cityofralston.com. . The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish the materials and construction that will, in their opinion serve the best interests of the Owner, and also reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids. Remove deteriorated or cracked existing pavement, as marked by the engineer, including saw cutting and disposal of all removed concrete. If the removed sections include a concrete curb, it shall be poured integrally with the adjacent pavement to avoid a joint in the gutter line. Install #4 x 18" tie bars every 48" along all adjoining concrete edges. Build concrete paving (at a thickness to match existing street thickness plus one inch) as noted in the specifications. Concrete to be 3500 - 47B Traditional Mix (30% limestone). Tar all joints abutting or within concrete panel replacements. Provide all traffic barricades as necessary to direct traffic around work areas and protect work area during construction. Access to adjacent residences or businesses should be maintained. When work is across a dead-end street, the work shall be phased to allow access to half the street at a time. The enclosed map shows the sites for all repairs in the bid. The city will mark the areas currently planned for removals so that the contractors can see the proposed limits of work. Areas will be finalized at the time of construction to allow for any changes to site conditions The proposed project schedule is to have the work completed in the summer or early fall of 2022.
