NTRODUCTION The City of Redding Public Works Department is soliciting proposals to provide professional engineering and right of way services for the Stillwater Business Park (SWBP) Phase 2 Projects. It is the intent of the City to hire a qualified consultant who can provide engineering services culminating in contract documents including plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates, complete and ready for invitations for bid for multiple projects to support the development of the Stillwater Business Park. The Stillwater Business Park is a 667 Acre master planned business park located in the City of Redding (see attached site map). The SWBP has developable parcels ranging from 4 acres and 92 acres in size and is adjacent to the Redding Municipal Airport. The City as a part of the Phase 1 project has constructed the backbone infrastructure including but not limited to road, bridges, sewer, water, electric and communication facilities to Lot 12 of the SWBP. Due to recent activity and parcel sales in the SWBP the City is looking to begin Phase 2 improvements to extend infrastructure to the remainder of the SWBP and provide road access to Fig Tree Lane and Airport Road on the south. In addition the City anticipates developing additional traffic mitigation projects for design and construction. The proposed improvements are as follows: o Approximately 2.5 miles of roadway of various typical sections meeting the traffic demands of the Park and adjacent roadway segments per limits as shown on the attached site map. GHD Inc. is currently updating traffic studies performed for the Park to determine typical sections requirements for these roadways. See attached sample typical sections. Consultant will coordinate and incorporate results of the traffic study into the project. o Develop design alternatives for the realignment of a signalized intersection at Airport Road and Fig Tree lane to incorporate future development and improvements on Airport Road. o Realignment of Fig Tree Lane at intersection of Venture Pkwy and Fig Tree Lane o Approximately 13,100 lineal feet of 16 inch ductile iron water main o Approximately 5,000 lineal feet of sewer main including manholes at about 500 foot spacing. o Approximately 12,500 lineal feet of joint utility trench for REU electric, PG&E distribution gas, AT&T, Spectrum and other services. o Required storm drainage facilities The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. As of January 13, 2022, the due date has been confirmed with the owner.
