Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Morrisville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

**As of February 21, 2022, This project is already awarded to Browe Construction with the awarded amount of $159,234.50. The project is already under construction. Only emailed questions received prior to the time and date listed below will be addressed and will receive written responses in the form of an addendum and included in the invitation to bid package. All emailed questions must be received by 12:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time on Monday, January 17, 2022. No questions or requests for clarifications will be accepted after this time. Responses to questions will be emailed and issued in the form of an addendum and issued by 5:00 PM EST on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 (if needed). The issuance of such written responses is the only official method by which interpretation, clarification or additional information will be given by the Town. Only requests answered by formal written responses will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Neither a bid bond nor a performance bond will be required for the project. Pursuant to General Statutes of North Carolina, as amended, and subject to the Project Special Provisions (Attachment 1, dated January 4, 2022, 9 pages), the General Requirements (Attachment 2, dated January 4, 2022, 7 pages), herein, offerors are requested to submit quotations for the work. General: The Project Special Provisions (Attachment 1, dated January 4, 2022, 9 pages), the General Requirements (Attachment 2, dated January 4, 2022, 7 pages), shall govern in any resulting contract unless approved otherwise in writing by the Town of Morrisville. Offerors consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in a state court of competent jurisdiction in Wake County, North Carolina. All Work shall be completed no later than 60 days from Notice to Proceed being issued. Please note that liquidated damages shall apply if all work is not completed within 60 days from Notice to Proceed being issued. Project includes removal and replacement of approximately 80 panels and the replacement of 24 panels, as identified by the Town of Morrisville along McCrimmon Parkway from Aviation Parkway to Hwy 54. The work should include the removal of spoils from adjacent concrete panels and the grading and seeding in those areas. The spoil removal should be incidental to the replacement line item. New sidewalk should be installed in accordance with NCDOT Standard Drawings, Division 08 Incidentals Part 2 084601 through 087604, Sheet 848.1. If the subgrade beneath the sidewalk panels marked for replacement has, in the opinion of the Town of Morrisville, destabilized, remove unsuitable material and replace the subgrade material with ABC stone and compact to 100% maximum Standard Proctor dry density. Additionally, remove and replace 20 concrete entrance/exit aprons in Kitts Creek Neighborhood (See Attachment 04 Concrete Apron Map and Inventory). Removal should be conducted per NCDOT Specification Section 848, Replacement of the sidewalk should be conducted per NCDOT Specification Section 825. Dispose of waste and debris in per NCDOT Specification Section 802. Remove unsuitable subgrade material and replace in accordance with NCDOT Specification Section 545. Concrete Aprons should be replaced according to Details C.8 in the Town of Morrisville EDCM. Project General Requirements are noted below, in addition, both the North Carolina Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures January 2018 and the Morrisville Engineering, Design and Construction Manual (Updated: July 1, 2016) shall compliment and supplement the General Conditions described below. In the case of conflict, the General Conditions shall take precedence, followed by the Morrisville Engineering, Design and Construction Manual, and then NCDOT Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures January 2018 and then Morrisville Engineering, Design and Construction Manual. Approximate quantities have been included in the Bid Form as a basis for comparing bids. Actual quantities are to be agreed to in the field, and payment will be made on actual quantities.
