The George T. Lohmeyer Wastewater Treatment Plant (GTL) has no standby electrical power for the effluent pumps. When Florida Power and Light (FPL) power is lost, the effluent discharges into the Intracoastal, requiring a notification to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. This project focuses on the significant upgrades required to the Administration Building in order to support a 10 megawatt gas -turbine emergency generator on a new second floor. This project is included in the city's 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 07, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
