Demolition and remodeling of a municipal facility in New Kent, Virginia. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.
The project is a renovation of the existing lobby within the New Kent County Health and Human Services Building to create an additional waiting area for customers. The New Kent Health and Human Services Building is located at 7911 Courthouse Way, New Kent, Virginia, 23124. The Work consists of the following: The contractor shall furnish all permits, labor, equipment, material and supervision necessary to complete all work indicated on the Contract Documents and Plans entitled; "New Kent Social Services Lobby Remodel - Suite 100", dated 12/17/2021 by Hopke and Associates, Inc. for New Kent County IFB No. 22-1101SS. This includes the General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and other contract documents governing the work that are available on the County web site, and the AIA A201 General Conditions. The work to be performed shall be in accordance with Invitation for Bids, Instructions to Bidders, Summary of Work and other Contract Documents entitled New Kent Social Services Lobby Remodel - Suite 100, dated 12/17/2021 and the Pre-Bid Addendums No ________. The Contractor agrees to furnish all labor, materials and equipment to complete the work as required in the Contract Documents, which are hereby made a part of this contract by reference. It is understood and agreed by the parties hereto that all work shall be performed as required in the Contract Documents and shall be subject to inspection and approval of the Owner or its authorized representative. The relationship of the Contractor to the Owner hereunder is that of an independent Contractor. The Contract Documents are defined in the General Conditions and are incorporated here for reference. The Contractor shall commence the work promptly upon the date established in the Notice to Proceed. If there is no Notice to Proceed, the date of commencement of the Work shall be the date of this agreement. The Contractor shall achieve Final Completion of the Project within Ninety (90) calendar days from the date of the Contract. New Kent County will accept questions regarding IFB# 22-101SS from potential bidders up until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022.
