One-Two Sentences UNC Greensboro is seeking letters of interest from qualified professionals for the Bestway bulk refrigeration and space humidity study. The Bulk Refrigeration system installed for Bestway is inadequate for the load it carries. The system was found to be operating at roughly 120% of its intended capacity causing frequent compressor failures (2 or 3 per year). There is also a humidity issue within the space. Condensation is causing items to sweat and creating moisture and other concerns. The project will consist of reviewing recommendations from equipment vendor, preparing an engineered study to determine the cause, and recommendation of both the compressor failure issues and space humidity issues resulting in condensation within the space. Firms submitting must illustrate experience in grocery stores or other areas with large amounts of open and closed refrigeration conditions. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
