The Glendale School District will receive bids for Renovations to the High School Science Classrooms for the Glendale Jr. Sr. High School. It is the intent of the Owner to enter into separate contracts as follows: Contract No. 1 General Construction Contract No. 2 HVAC Construction Contract No. 3 Plumbing Construction Contract No. 4 Electrical Construction Contract No. 5 Asbestos Removal Contractors desiring to bid the Asbestos Removal Contract may obtain same by contacting Microbac Laboratories. Bids shall include a Bid Security Bond or Certified Check, payable to Glendale School District, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, in accordance with Instructions to Bidders, as included in the Contract Documents. The work to be performed under these Specifications shall include providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to furnish and install, complete, properly, and fully all plumbing work as shown on the Drawings or herein specified. It is the intent of these Specifications that a complete operating system be installed; this Contractor shall carefully examine the site, drawings, and Specifications, and shall include all items necessary to accomplish this purpose. The work, in general, shall include, but shall not be limited to the following: 1. Provide interior sanitary and vent drainage system as indicated, including floor drains, cleanouts, traps, and vents. 2. Provide interior domestic hot and cold water distribution systems as indicated. Provide valves and backflow preventers. 3. Provide interior/exterior natural gas distribution system as indicated. Provide valves, pressure regulators, and roof pipe supports. 4. Provide plumbing fixtures and equipment shown. 5. Provide an acid neutralizing tank. 6. Provide plumbing services and final connections for equipment furnished under various Contracts or by the Owner as indicated. 7. Provide insulation for piping and equipment as specified. 8. Testing, adjusting and balancing all plumbing piping and equipment. 9. All control and interlock wiring shall be by the Plumbing Contractor. 10. Provide all necessary demolition of existing piping, fixtures, and equipment as indicated.
