Construction of a parking area for the Lillian Lake Recreation Trails, on the south side of Toby Creek Road from Lillian Lake. The proposed contract is for the construction of a parking area to service the Lillian Lake Recreation Trails on the south side of Toby Creek Road. The parking lot is within the Lillian Lake Recreation Site polygon (REC2001) but serves as parking for the trail network (REC33131). The project involves the cutting of timber, removal of stumps, leveling of the surface, capping with gravel, and placing large barrier rocks as indicated in the Site Plan in Schedule A of the specimen contract. Parking area: 70m x 30m The parking lot and access to the highway will be capped with gravel. The province will pay for the gravel separately from this contract. A Certified Utility Arborist (CUA) is required due to the proximity of the trees to powerlines. Timber is for the Akisqnuk First Nation to use as firewood. Wood is to be delivered to 2461 Kootenay #3 Road. Installation of a vault toilet may be required, but due to uncertainty with the toilet fabrication company, this is not to be included in the Total Bid Price. Include the installation of barrier rocks in the Total Bid Price. The province will supply the rocks. For a site plan and map of the project area, please refer to Schedule A of the specimen contract.
