Bids are for a single Prime Contract for replacement of synthetic turf at Linn-Mar Stadium. Working includes removal and disposal of current synthetic turf and infill. Laser Grading of subbase and installation of shock-attenuating pad and synthetic turf carpet with infill. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis; segregated sub-bids will not be accepted. Bidders to follow local, state, and federal guidelines for face coverings and social distancing Awards of Contract is anticipated to commence on or about March 7 2022. Work may begin May 31st following execution of the agreement and is scheduled to be Substantially Complete by August 12th 2022 in one phase as shown on the Contract Documents A public hearing will be conducted at a meeting to be held at the Linn-Mar Community School District Board Room at the Learning Resource Center 2999 N 10th Street, Marion, Iowa 52302 , at which time and place any person may appear and file objections to the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and the estimated cost of said project Bidders and Sub-bidders requiring interpretation of the bidding documents or substitution requests are required to make a written request to the Architect by 5:00 p.m. local time seven calendar days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. Clarifications or modifications of the Bid. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of certified check, credit union share draft, or surety bond written on an original AIA Document A310, Bid Bond, is required for this project at the time of Bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum The award of the contract may be made by the Linn-Mar Community School District to any responsible bidder or bidders offering suitable supplies, equipment and/or service at the lowest price taking into consideration the quality of materials or service in the best interest of the Owner. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
