Site Directions: Site is located between NE 71st Street and NE 75th Street south of University Avenue / IA Hwy 163. For consideration by the City Council at its meeting on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in said Community Room at the Public Safety Building. Contractor shall fully complete all grading, pavement removal, storm sewer installation, RCB culvert installation, water main installation, subdrain, subgrade preparation, modified subbase, PCC pavement, pavement markings, and miscellaneous associated work for the development of the trail south of Martha L. Miller Drive and construction of 2,525' of Martha L. Miller Drive between NE 70th Street and NE 75th Street. The project also includes storm sewer installation, water main installation and other miscellaneous work to complete the improvements no later than December 1, 2022. Should the contractor fail to complete all grading, pavement removal, storm sewer installation, RCB culvert installation, water main installation, subdrain, subgrade preparation, modified subbase, PCC pavement, pavement markings, and miscellaneous associated work in this timeframe, liquidated damages in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,500.00) per calendar day after December 1, 2022 will be assessed. Surface restoration shall be fully completed by June 1, 2023 or incur liquidated damages in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day thereafter. The work includes all materials, equipment, transportation, and labor necessary to complete the roadway extension. The proposed project includes the development of the trail south of Martha L.
