Proposals Requested By CITY OF RENO PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Humboldt St. Neighborhood (Area 2) Sewer & Street Rehabilitation Project CONTRACT NUMBER F100114 PWP WA-2022-124 Said Proposal shall include all labor, tools, implements, machinery, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the work in the manner and time prescribed, and in strict conformity with the Contract Documents to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. In general, the major work items include: Work on the sanitary sewer and storm drain collection systems shall include but not be limited to the installation of new 8-inch to 12-Inch diameter sanitary sewer and storm drain pipe, the abandonment or removal and replacement of manholes, constructing new manholes, sanitary sewer service lateral connections, abandonment of existing sewer mains, removal and replacement of storm drain catch basins, surface improvements, utility adjustments, bypass pumping, traffic control and all miscellaneous and incidental work necessary to complete the project as specified. The project areas include Humboldt Street, Lander Street, Wright Street, Monroe Street, W. Arroyo Street, W. Pueblo Street, S. Arlington Avenue, Plumas Street, Mt. Rose Street, and various alleyways. The scope of work shall be completed utilizing conventional open trench pipe installation methods identified in the Improvement Plans and these Specifications. The street rehabilitation shall include, but is not limited to, grading, temporary and permanent pavement patching, grind and overlay, section reconstruction with removal of existing materials, placement of new asphalt and base, curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveways, alleyways, pedestrian ramps, pavement striping, provisions for traffic control for the duration of the project, root excavation and pruning, steel plate installation, installation of signage, and other miscellaneous work as outline in the Improvement Plans, the Specifications, and these General Provisions. The Bidders attention is directed to Nevada Revised Statutes 338.01165, enacted by the Nevada Legislature by passage of Senate Bill No. 207, setting forth the requirements for the use of apprentices on public works which requires a contractor or subcontractor to comply with certain requirements relating to the use of apprentices on public works.
