Site work and paving for a road / highway in Monticello, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
120th Street NE from bridge over I-94 to west township boundary, and 127th Street NE from 120th Street NE intersection to approximately 2,800 ft NW of said intersection. 2.0" Bituminous overlay of existing Township roadways. Should the Contractor fail to complete the work on or before the original date(s) set forth for completion in paragraph 1 of the Special Provisions or on or before the corrected date as granted by extension of time for completion, the Owner may permit the Contractor to proceed, and in such case, there shall be deducted from any monies due or that may become due the Contractor, the sum of $500.00 per day for each and every calendar day, exclusive of Sundays and holidays, that the work shall remain uncompleted. This sum shall be considered and treated, not as a penalty, but as the cost of field and office Engineering and Inspections and Liquidated Damages.
