Project Description: The Basin 07-24-B and 09-41-E improvements project will involve the dredging of two stormwater ponds (historical wetlands) to remove and properly dispose of accumulated sediment, and the necessary work needed compliantly access, dredge, provide erosion control, and restore the pond and adjacent areas including impacts to private landowners. The project engineer estimates approximately 1880 cubic yards of material to be dredged and disposed of. Basin 07-24-B is located off Dell Road with Hidden Ponds Park to the south. Basin 09-41-E is located of Fairway Drive in the Fairway Woods Living Complex. Each bid submitted must be accompanied by a bid bond naming the City of Eden Prairie as obligee, Surety2000 or certified check payable to the City Clerk of the City of Eden Prairie or a cash deposit in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the City in the event that the bidder fails to enter into a contract. The City Council reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids will be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening bids. Payment for the work will be by cash or check. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and further reserves the right to award the contract(s) to the best interests of the City.
