The work consists of abandoning two drinking water wells including all mobilization, demobilization, permits, removal and disposal of materials generated as part of the abandonment, final cleanup and project closeout.All work is to be done in accordance with the State of Utah Administrative Rules for Well Drillers. Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District will be accepting sealed bids for the White Well #1 and #2 Abandonment Project The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the complete and satisfactory abandonment of the White Well #1 drinking water well, located at 3697 West Beth Circle, and the White Well #2 drinking water well, located at 5551 South Whitewood Drive. The Contractor shall comply with all federal, state and local laws and ordinances relating to performances of the work. All work is to be done in accordance with the State of Utah Administrative Rules for Well Drillers. The work includes mobilization, demobilization, permits, removal and disposal of materials generated as part of the abandonment, final cleanup and project closeout. The White Well #1 is still equipped with a Peabody Floway vertical turbine pump and a GE 60hp motor. The White Well #2 is still equipped with a Grundfos submersible pump and a Hitachi 30hp motor. These will need to be removed and disposed of as part of the abandonments prior to placement of cement. The well casings shall be cut and terminated 2' below the existing grade and the concrete block around the wells at the ground surface shall be removed and disposed of. Power has been disconnected from the sites. The well houses shall be protected in place
