Notice Content NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids, properly endorsed, for the furnishing of all necessary labor and materials for: The removal and disposal of lime stabilized sewage sludge from the Water Pollution Control Facility of the City of Ashland and the application of said sludge to lands by the use of a sludge distributor; will be received at the office of the Ashland City Engineering Division, Municipal Building, Third Floor, 206 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio, until 2:00 p.m., local time, January 28, 2022, and at that time will be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Council Chambers. Copies of specifications may be examined and/or obtained from the City of Ashland, Engineering Division, 206 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805. To obtain copies by mail, send a check for Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for postage and handling, to the aforesaid address. Make all checks payable to the City of Ashland, Ohio. The deposit is not refundable. Each Holder of Bidder Documents MUST be recorded with the Owner PRIOR to bid opening. Each bidder is required to furnish with its bid, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of the project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Attention of the bidders is called to the Instructions to Bidders which are included in the proposed contract documents and to the special requirements for wage rates and hours of employment. The right is reserved to accept or reject any and all bids and award the contract on the basis determined by the City of Ashland to be the best bid.
