As of October 4, 2024, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Park Ridge is looking to rehabilitate approximately 10,000 feet (1.89 miles) of Dee Road from Devon Avenue north to the UP Northwest railroad tracks just south of Busse Highway using an STP grant to bring the pavement to an acceptable level of rideability. Dee Road is classified as a Minor Arterial. AADT is 14,800. Dee Road Phase III improvements will not be completed unless an STP grant is secured. Rebuild Illinois funds will be used for the completion of the Phase I, Phase II and STP grant filing as allowed in IDOT Circular 2020-16. The chosen consultant will be responsible for completing all paperwork with IDOT to allow the use of the RBI funds for these phases of the work. If an STP grant is secured, Phase III and construction of Dee Road will occur under the STP grant. The City would like to replace curb and gutter as needed, patch and repair the existing pavement, grind approximately 2 inches at curbline, restore the crown of the road and improve drainage with hot mix leveling binder and surface course. Each Proposer is responsible for reading the proposal documents and familiarizing itself with all requirements. Failure of a Proposer to do so shall not relieve the Proposer of any obligation with respect to said proposal. If the proposal is accepted, it shall be responsible for, and the City will make no allowance for, any errors in their Proposal resulting from its failure or neglect to comply with these instructions. The surety companies, other signers of any required bonds, and the insurance companies shall familiarize themselves with all of the conditions and provisions of these specifications and contract documents, and hereby waive all rights of special notification of any change or modification of this contract in regard to the scope of the work, time of completion, cancellation or termination, or of any other act or acts by the City of Park Ridge or its authorized employees and agents under the terms of this contract. Failure to notify the previously mentioned surety or insurance companies of change or modification shall in no way relieve the surety or insurance companies of their obligations under this contract.
