Renovation of a power facility in Cornwall, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
OPG is retaining suppliers and contractors to provide planning, engineering, design, procurement, fabrication, demolition, removal, installation, and commissioning for Units G1-G16 major mechanical and electrical overhaul at the R.H. Saunders Generating Station. The work and services being performed under the Program is being divided into separate work packages, each addressing specific aspects of the Program. OPG will utilize a sixteen-phase contracting model for all the agreements specific to the work packages under this Program. Each phase will contemplate outage for each Unit. The first outage starts on May 2022 and the outage period for each Unit is one year. OPG operates the R.H. Saunders generating station located near Cornwall, Ontario.
