The Project consists of creating an additional Foods Lab and relocating the Sewing Room at Metea Valley High School, renovating the existing Foods Lab at Waubonsie Valley High School, along with all associated HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection work. In order to familiarize themselves with this project, The Owner, Architect, and Engineer will be present to answer questions. Bidders are to enter at Door #20 and must present a valid State Identification Card to gain access to the Pre-Bid. All bidders will also be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing of 6-feet or greater during the Pre-Bid Conference.as well as the site inspections. Site inspections will follow the Pre-Bid Conference. This will be the only time Contractors will be allowed to visit the school sites! Stipulated Lump Sum Apparent low bidders must be available for a scope review meeting either in person or via telephone between 1:30 - 3:30 pm on Thursday, February 10, 2022 Two (2) copies of your bid proposal must be submitted on the "Bid Form" provided, with two (2) copies of all form attachments. The Board of Education of Indian Prairie School District 204 reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the Owner. All Bidders must comply with Illinois Compiled Statutes, 820 ILCS 130/ (Prevailing Wage Act), requiring the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on publicly funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rates change, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount. The proposed contract is subject to the requirements of the Equal Employment Practices Commission and the Illinois Human Rights Act (HRA) Illinois Revised Statues, Ch. 68, Par. 1-101, et. seg."
