For the installation of interior doors at 19 elementary schools located in Aurora, Bolingbrook, and Naperville Illinois. The project consists of providing and installing interior doors, interior partitions, and all associated door hardware as identified in the project documents. All bidders are to enter at Door #20 and will be required to wear a mask as well as practicing social distancing of 6-feet or greater during the Pre-Bid Conference. This will be the only time Contractors will be allowed to visit the school sites! Apparently low bidders must be available for a scope review meeting, either in person or via telephone between 1:30 - 3:30 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid shall be submitted with the bid. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful Bidder. The Board of Education, Indian Prairie School District 204 reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the School District. All Bidders must comply with Illinois Compiled Statutes, 820 ILCS 130/ (Prevailing Wage Act), requiring the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on publicly funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rates change, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount. The proposed contract is subject to the requirements of the Equal Employment Practices Commission and the Illinois Human Rights Act (HRA) Illinois Revised Statues, Ch. 68, Par. 1-101, et. seg." (Including the requirement that every party to a public contract shall have adopted written sexual harassment policies, P.A. 87-1257). No sets will be available at the prebid meeting.
