The multiple bid packages included are as follows: BP 01 - Site Demolition & Site Sanitary BP 02 - Masonry BP 03 - General Trades BP 04 - Roofing BP 05 - Steel Fabrication and Steel Erection BP 06 - Building Concrete BP 07 - Aluminum Windows and Aluminum Storefront BP 08 - Framing, Drywall, and Acoustical Ceilings BP 09 - Painting BP 10 - Flooring BP 11 - Lockers BP 12 - Fire Protection BP 13 - Plumbing BP 14 - HVAC & Temperature Controls BP 15 - Electrical and Fire Alarm BP 16 - Interior Demolition BP 17 - Elevator All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the form of a surety bond issued by a bonding company authorized to do business in Illinois, and on the U.S. Department of Treasury list of approved sureties, or a certified check or a cashier's check drawn on a bank authorized to do business in Illinois, made payable to Fieldcrest High School CUSD #6 in the amount of five percent (5%) of the sum of the computed total amount of the bid. By submitting a bid, it is agreed that the Bid Bond will be forfeited if the bidder fails to execute the agreement or to furnish the Performance & Payment Bonds in conformity with the specifications within fourteen (14) days after notification of the award of the Agreement to such bidder. The bidder shall, within said ten (10) days, provide a Performance & Payment Bond, with a Surety to be approved by the District, in the amount of 100% of the cost of the contract, the cost of which shall be included in the bid. The form of the Performance & Payment Bond is subject to approval of counsel for the District. All bids shall be deemed final, conclusive, and irrevocable, and once opened no bid shall be subject to correction or amendment for any error or miscalculation. No bid shall be withdrawn without the consent of the Board of Education after the scheduled closing time for the reception of the bids. Each bidder expressly agrees that such bid may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the opening thereof. Withdrawal within such period shall subject the bidder to forfeiture of Bid Bond, as well as penalties and damages to the District to the extent that such withdrawal results in loss to the District. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informalities, errors or irregularity in bids received or in the bidding process, and to accept the bid that the Board of Education deems the most favorable to its interest after all bids have been examined and canvassed. The Board of Education will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder that meets the criteria as established in the specifications and the contract will be awarded only after a formal notice is given to the successful bidder pursuant to action by the Board of Education. *The listed value reflects the entire scope of work. Project Description: Project consists of an addition (approximately 530 SF), renovation and health/life safety improvements throughout the existing building (approximately 28,507 SF). Renovations and improvements include: 1. Door and window replacement 2. Flooring replacement 3. Ceiling replacement 4. Science lab renovation 5. classroom casework replacement 6. Re-roofing +/- 3,850 SF 7. 1956 restroom renovation 8. Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical upgrades in 1956 building and portions of 1976 building 9. Addition of fire protection to 1956 and 1976 building areas 10. A 530 SF addition that includes a new four stop elevator, vestibule, and egress stairs.
