Renovation of an educational facility in Wenonah, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The bidders are requested to submit in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18(b)(2) one Lump Sum Bid for all the work and materials. Bidders and/or their Prime Subcontractors must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) prior to the date that bids are received. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check or Bid Bond in the form provided in the Contract Documents, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount not less than 10% of the Base Bid (but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24), naming as payee or obligee, as applicable Wenonah Board of Education, to be retained and applied by the undersigned as provided in Contract Documents in case bidder would default in executing the Agreement or furnishing the required bonds and insurance certificates as required by Contract Documents. Prospective bidders are advised that this Project is one which will be subject to and will be governed by provisions of New Jersey State Law governing (a) Prequalification of Bidders N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26 et seq.; (b) Prevailing Wage Rates N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27; (c) Use of Domestic Materials, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-20 including any amendments and supplements thereto; (d) Ownership Disclosure Certification N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2; and (e) disclosure of investment activities in Iran, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-49.4 in accordance with to N.J.S.A. 52:32-57, et seq. (P.L. 2012, c.25 and P.L. 2021, c.4). The Public Works Contractor Registration Act N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. requires that the Contractor and Subcontractors must be registered at the time of Bid. The Owner is requesting that copies of the Certificates be included in the Contractor's Bid Package. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 all business organizations that do business with a local contracting agency are required to be registered with the State and provide proof of their Registration with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue before the contracting agency may enter into a contract with the business. In addition, and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25, each bid must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating it will provide said bidder with a bond in such sum as required by the above referenced statute. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the dates set for the opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 or to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions. Bidders are required to comply with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. Tuesday 02/01/22 Deadline for Questions to Garrison Architects at 5:00 P.M. (send questions to jangelo@garrisonarch.com) Thursday 02/03/22 Addendum Emailed to Bidders (If Necessary) The Bid Opening will be conducted in a large room where there is space for bidders to attend safely according to the guidelines put forth by the State of New Jersey. Masks will be required to be worn at all times The Work consists of the following including, but not limited to, the following - VAC RENOVATIONS, UNIT VENTILATOR & AC REPLACEMENT: At approximately (15) Classrooms, remove existing heating only unit ventilators and install new heating/cooling unit ventilators and rooftop mounted and/or concrete pad on grad mounted condensing units. At corridors and other small occupied spaces, install new ductless split systems, approximately (7) locations. Existing, adjacent casework and finishes shall be modified, patched and refurbished to accommodate new equipment and so not to show signs of renovations. Replace existing fin tube radiation at limited locations. Existing thru wall louvers, and fin tube radiation at classrooms to remain and integrate to new system. MISCELLANEOUS ALTERNATE BIDS: Work includes a new emergency gas generator, replacing and upgrading the existing Multi-Purpose Room Sound System, renovating one set of existing gang toilet rooms and completely renovating an existing gang toilet room to a small instructional space.
