For furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for South Beloit Community Schools - Elementary School HVAC Upgrades. The work for which bids are asked includes the following: SCOPE OF WORK: The work for which bids are asked includes, but not necessarily limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the Clark Elementary School HVAC Upgrades located at 464 Oak Grove Ave, South Beloit, IL 61080. The bid will include the removal and replacement of existing HVAC systems, electrical service upgrades, and other items outlined on the contract documents. All work will be issued under a single prime contract for general construction. All bidders shall bid in accordance with, the contract documents and shall bid upon the bid forms included in the Contract Documents. Electronic Bidding documents may be obtained on Angus Young Associates FTP website by contacting the office or by phone (608) 756-2326. All contractors are responsible for the viewing/downloading of the correct documents for the purpose of providing a sufficient bid. As holders of these documents, you are acknowledging your requirements to obtain any addenda or other materials prior to bidding and/or construction of the project. Because the Owner and Angus Young Associates has no control over the means of printing these documents, you take the responsibility for verifying that you have all documents and that they have been printed correctly. PRE-BID SITE VISIT; A pre-bid site visit will not be held during the re-bidding of the project. LEGAL PROVISIONS: The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Illinois Statutes, as well as any other applicable sections thereof. WAGE RATES: Prevailing wage rates, as established, published and set forth in accordance with State law, are applicable to this project. Compliance with 2021 Illinois, 820 ILCS 130 state prevailing wage law for local government units such as villages, towns, cities, and school districts is required." BID SECURITY: A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to South Beloit Community Unit School District 320 in the amount of 10% of the bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee. If the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by South Beloit Community Unit School District 320. Failure on the part of the bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to South Beloit Community Unit School District 320 as liquidated damages. CONTRACT SECURITY: The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the South Beloit Community Unit School District 320 for 110% of the Contract Price for each of the above Bonds, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. BID REJECTION: South Beloit Community Unit School District 320 reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding, or to accept the bid or bids, which best serve the interests of the South Beloit Community Unit School District 320. BID WITHDRAWAL: No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the schedule opening of the bids without the consent of the Owner or Architect
