The work includes, the installation of new conduit, handholes, fiber optic interconnect, wireless transmission systems, cellular modems, remote controlled video systems, full-actuated controllers, and layer II switches to connect existing traffic signal controllers and expand the existing Lake County Division of Transportation fiber optic ITS communication network. The work also includes the installation of new PTZ cameras, camera mounting assemblies, fiber optic cable terminations, fiber optic splices, terminal servers, conduit, fiber optic cable and tracer cable, and other related work. Major pay items include 8,623 feet Underground Conduit, Galvanized Steel, 2" Dia., 12 each Remote Controlled Video System, 8 each Layer II (Datalink) Switch, 7 each Wireless Transmission System Point to Point, 1 lump sum Mobilization. To bid on this project, contractors shall be required to provide a valid IDOT Certificate of Eligibility and obtain an approved LCDOT Authorization to Bid. Project Location: Various routes in various municipalities in Lake County, Illinois. The intersections are maintained by the Lake County Division of Transportation and the Illinois Department of Transportation.
