The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development and BC Wildfire Service operate the Powell River Fire Zone at 7077 Duncan Street, Powell River BC, V8A1W1. Due to the expanding requirements at the base, the Ministry must accommodate for growing staff members and future expansions. The requirement for expansion calls for the construction of a new 3 wide modular building and the development of the site. Details of the extend of the expansion can be seen in the attached drawing package. The Ministry wishes to engage with a geotechnical engineer in order to assess the constructability of the site, develop a storm management plan, survey the site topographically and make recommendation on site preparation for foundation installation. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
