The City of Longview solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in Civil, Traffic, and Signal Engineering Design and for this public works road project. The consulting services will be needed beginning about March 2022 and ending about March 2023, with the option for the City of Longview to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. This is a federally funded project and it will be held to Federal EEO requirements. The proposed improvements include resurfacing Washington Way from Larch St to 34th Ave to improve roadway smoothness, re-striping the street with additional bike lanes and/or parking, upgrading ADA ramps, modifying signals. Construction is expected in the summer of 2023. The work performed by the Consultant consists of preparing preliminary engineering design, traffic analysis, and public outreach assistance. The City of Longview reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases associated with this project. Proposals will be evaluated and ranked based on six evaluation criteria, an in-person or video interview, and a reference check. The City will negotiate compensation and final scope of work with the selected consultant.
