196 Tons of Liquid Chlorine 80,000 Pounds of Sodium Permanganate 850 Tons of Caustic Soda 105 Tons of Liquid Linear Phosphate 950 Tons of Polyaluminum Chloride 10 Tons of Liquid Zinc Orthophosphate 5,500 Gallons of Liquid Sodium Hypochlorite 12.5% 1,050 Gallons of Liquid Ammonium Sulfate 40% All bids submitted must be firm for the period APRIL 1, 2022 THRU SEPTEMBER 30, 2022. 1. Prospective bidders must provide a bid guarantee security for each chemical bid in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of their total bid to the Authority in one of the following forms: CERTIFIED CHECK, BANK CASHIERS CHECK OR BID BOND executed by both the prospective bidder and the surety company and made payable to the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County. The bid guarantee security is required from each prospective bidder and will cover all bids placed in this offering. Personal Checks or Money Orders will not be accepted. Bid guarantee securities of the two (2) lowest bidders will be retained until the contracts are awarded, but the deposit of all other bidders will be returned immediately following the bid process. Should the successful bidder fail to deliver the contract in conformity with the Bid, his proposal security shall be forfeited to the Authority as Liquidated Damages. 2. The successful Bidders shall provide the Authority with a surety bond, acceptable to the Authority, for the faithful performance of the Contract within ten (10) days after the Authoritys formal notification of contract award. The amount of the surety bond shall be 100% of the total bid result from the product of the estimated quantity bid multiplied by the price per unit. The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid received, to reject any bids or to accept any bid it deems in its best interest.
