The Town of New Milford, Water Witch Hose Co. #2, seeks to purchase a fire training burn building meeting the following specifications: o Five- 40' high quality "one way" "new" high cube size inspected and certified containers o One 40' high quality "one way" "new" high cube size painted as same color to be delivered and used for storage by the department. Location and setup to be determined by department o All framing to be 2"x2"x1/8" square steel tubing o Eight- 36"x80"x 1/8" steel doors with locking entry handles. Each will have a 4"x4" hose hatch to allow the free flow of fire hoses during evolutions. Each door will have a rain shield over the door and tie backs to keep door open when in use o Six- 36"x36"x 1/8" steel windows with locking entry handles. Each will have a rain shield over the window and tie-backs to keep window open during use. Windows on second floor will have safety anchors welded in place - location to be determined by the department. o All locking handles to be keyed alike and inside and out. o All materials to be new o Refer to rendering for location of all items. Rendering can be found in Section 8 - Attachments. o All doors will have 3 heavy duty hinges o All windows will have 2 heavy duty hinges o Four- 4' x 7' swing- away breach walls- steel framed for 2x4's and breach material. Must lock closed or open o Two- 24" side hatches with steel hinges o One-breach wall with 2- 4' swing sections outside second floor burn room to simulate behind the wall fire attack and breaching. Steel framed with 2"x4" posts and wall board one side. o There will be ladder anchors on each side of prop on the first o Floor. Location to be determined by the department. o Included training for delivery of burn building o Operation and use of the building, temperature sensors, etc o Bailout recertification for the Sterling FCX training system o Evening Train the trainer for firehouse innovations door o Evening VES training for firehouse fabricators window and VES o Two- 1/8" galvanized diamond plate steel training deck 40'. o One- two level OSHA galvanized exterior stair unit with galvanized platforms. o One- flat roof chop out in top deck floor o All floors will be scorpion lined to resist water damage o One- interior walk-through wall openings between containers framed and flashed. o One-15' specialized first floor two-tier confidence course. Must have observation hatch, entry/exist stairs, lighting, various 36" swing walls to handle sheetrock inserts, reduced profile drop ceiling, rafter simulation, wire entanglement area, drop floor, two forms of emergency exit, o One- 16' x 8' pitched roof simulator with 8'x4' roof chop out with side access hatch and ladder hook. Proper OSHA safety railings and gates. Pitch to be determined by department o Interior OSHA staircases galvanized. With OSHA railings to extend from first floor to roof. o One- two level exterior staircase galvanized. With OSHA compliant railings. 36" bar grate treads galv. o One- bulkhead roof access with door o All safety railings will have safety toe kick plates and will be OSHA compliant and galvanized. o One-one story standpipe w/ Siamese and interior globe valves on first level w/ nst threads. Location to be determined by department o One-bail out window from roof with skinned siding down containers to be stainless steel or galvanized steel to protect painted container from damage. And facilitate safety during bail out evolutions. Include ring above window o One- approximately 20' long x 8'wide reconfigurable moveable panel SCBA maze painted black and with 12- 80" h x 27" w panels and five confined space cut outs, locations to be determined by department. SCBA maze will have wire entanglement and Denver drill set up capabilities. o One- interior wall for fire house innovations prop. o One- fire house innovations forcible entry door prop. o One - firehouse fabricators VES window simulator prop o Two - Rescue Randy or similar training mannequins o One- second floor 14' x 8' x 9'6"' high temp corrugated 10 gauge 305 stainless steel panel lined burn room, insulated with 2000 degree ceramic blanket pinned to the walls and ceiling, with 4' insulated aprons, 2- burn doors constructed of 10 gauge corrugated stainless steel and insulated with 2000 degree ceramic blanket , 2- burn window constructed of 10 gauge corrugated stainless steel and insulated with 2000 degree ceramic blanket, 3-drains as depicted, galvanized diamond plate steel floor, heavy duty wheeled hooded burn cart and a wireless 2-probe RTD temperature omega monitoring system. o All safety railings, interior staircases, exterior staircases, platforms and training decks will be double hot dipped, galvanized and conform to OSHA regulations. o Entire training facility will conform to the regulations and recommendations of NFPA 1001, 1402, 1403, 1500 and OSHA. o Bidder will provide a list of 15 references and have been in fire training facility manufacturing for a least 10 years. o Set up of the facility will include all labor, materials, delivery, personnel and equipment to complete the task including man lift, fork lift and crane. Proper PPE, daily safety briefings, OSHA regulations and general overall cleanliness practices will be adhered to during set-up. o Water Witch Hose Company will be responsible for preparing the site. o Successful bidder will supply steel attachment plates to concrete. Contactor to set in concrete as the ground floor containers are to be welded to them. o Subsequent floors to use container locking mechanisms. o Inspection by the Water Witch Hose Company or representative(s) shall be allowed at any time during build out and set up (except the first day of set up) o Exterior to be primed and painted with two part PPG ultra-urethane industrial primer and paint. Single color to be determined by department. o Interior to be painted throughout, with PPG ultra, color of black or grey to be determined by department. o Successful bidder will have a representative within 50 miles of the Water Witch Hose Company for warranty, maintenance and NFPA assistance.
