Site work and renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility in Kawaihae, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.
As of March 22, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The scope of work consists of removing and replacing the existing metal roofing with new metal roofing at the South Shed, Kawaihae Harbor. The work includes replacing an existing roll-up door with a new motorized metal roll-up door, painting new roof and roll-up door components, and installing new bird barriers. The estimated cost of construction is between $200,000 and $300,000. The Hawaii Product Preference pursuant Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), is applicable to this project. Persons wishing to certify and qualify a product as a Hawaii Product shall submit a Certification for Hawaii Product Preference (SPO Form 38) to the DOT Contracts Office no later than 4:30 p.m., fourteen (14) calendar days prior to bid opening date. Late submittals for this project will not be reviewed by the DOT. A separate SPO-Form 38 shall be completed and submitted for each product. The form is available at electronically. Protest. Any protest of this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to the Director of Transportation The Equal Employment Opportunity Regulations of the Secretary of Labor implementing Executive Order 11246, as amended, shall be complied on this project.
