Contract A Eastover Lift Station Rehabilitation and Contract B Wildwood Lift Station Rehabilitation Bids will be accepted from contractors who are registered plan holders, obtaining the Contract Documents from the Issuing Office, only. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid must accompany each Bid. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities in the Bids, and to determine the lowest responsible Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to award the Contract(s) as two (2) separate contracts, or as a single contract. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1976 (latest revision). Bidder's name, license number, expiration date and that part of classification which applies must be on the sealed envelope containing the executed Bid Proposal. Subcontractor's information, where applicable, must also be included on the sealed envelope. Electrical, plumbing, masonry and, HVAC subcontractors with an interest in the Bid must be listed on the envelope. If no electrical, plumbing, masonry or HVAC subcontractors will be utilized, note these as "Not Applicable". Contractors must comply with all Drug Free Workplace Requirements. The work in general consists of the construction of approximately the following quantities: Contract "A" 1. Demolition of access hatch, fence, yard piping, and valve vault. 2. One new solids handling pump to match existing. 3. New precast concrete valve vault with two check valves, two ARV's, and two plug valves. 4. Coating of existing wet well with Spectra Shield. 5. Site yard piping and fencing. 6. Erosion and sediment control. 7. All mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation required for a complete, functional installation. Contract "B" 1. Demolition of wet well, fence, yard piping, and valve vault. 2. Two new sewage grinder pumps. 3. New precast concrete wet well. 4. New valve vault with two check valves, two ARV's, two plug valves, and a bypass connection. 5. Site yard piping and fencing. 6. Erosion and sediment control. 7. All mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation required for a complete, functional installation. The allotted time for construction is 210 calendar days.
