Renovation of an educational facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a primary / secondary education facility.
The project consists of furnishing the structural steel material for the Courtyard Enclosure at Putnam City West High School. Defect Bond: 100% 1. All labor, materials, equipment and incidental costs or services required to perform the scope of work described in the individual bid packages and other work considered customary or normally associated with the applicable trade, whether specifically delineated or not. 2. Contractor shall visit the site and examine all existing site conditions prior to submitting a bid. 3. Contractor is responsible for reviewing all construction documents regardless of division of discipline. 4. Only Oklahoma State Licensed life safety trades, persons or subcontractors will be accepted for designs, installation and inspection of fire and life safety systems. 5. In case of a conflict between contract documents that is not addressed by addendum prior to bid, the more stringent requirement item shall be applicable. 6. Temporary protection of any surfaces adjacent to contractor's work and repair of any damages to adjacent surfaces caused by this contractor. 7. Construction Manager to set what will be deemed normal working hours for this project. These hours may be adjusted on a seasonal basis. Contractor will be required to perform work during these normal working hours and staff the project to meet the schedule requirements. Special arrangements may be made should a contractor be required to work extra or overtime hours to meet the project schedule. 8. Contractor is responsible for any layout required for the execution of his scope of work. Base control point(s) and benchmark(s) will be provided by the Construction Manager. 9. Contractor shall provide any and all cutting, coring and patching that is required for the proper execution of this scope of work. All penetrations through existing walls and slabs will be core drilled. No penetrations made by busting block with hammers to make holes. If so, all penetrations will be closed up with new CMU/concrete. 10. Contractor shall supply his own temporary barricades, flagmen and traffic control as required for his scope of work. Contractor is required to coordinate all deliveries with the Construction Manager. 11. Contractor shall include multiple mobilizations as necessary to meet the project schedule. 12. Contractor shall comply with all safety requirements of the project including OSHA regulations, Construction Manager's Safety Program and Requirements of the owner to ensure the safety of their facilities, students, staff and visitors. 13. Contractor shall furnish drinking water for his own employees during the execution of their scope of work. 14. Contractor is to estimate their own quantities and not rely upon any quantities provided on the contract documents. 15. Contractor's foreman is to attend and participate in weekly onsite coordination meetings beginning two weeks prior to the anticipated start of his work. 16. Contractor shall provide any mock-ups as indicated or required on the construction documents and/or specifications. 17. In an effort to expedite the document distribution and review process, the Construction Manager, has elected to use a web-based software system known as Procore. Access to this service will be provided to contractors free of charge and its use in processing and distributing project documents including, but not limited to, Submittals, RFI's, Field Reports, ASIs, Proposals, Meeting Minutes, etc., is mandatory. Color samples and other submittals requiring physical review shall be logged into this system and delivered by mail or courier. 18. Contractor shall provide all permits and licenses required for his scope of work.
