Site work and paving for a road / highway in Columbus, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

(A) beginning at Q Boulevard and Island Road in Polk County and continuing north on Q Boulevard to the County line in Polk County, then on 287th Avenue to the Duncan village limit, (B) Beginning at the Village limit of Duncan on 152nd Street and continuing east till 260 Avenue, then north on 260 Avenue to Highway 30, (C) Beginning at 160th Street and Highway 30 then east on 160th Avenue to S 70th Avenue, then north on S 70th Avenue to Highway 30; C-71(856) on 83rd Street between Highway 81 and 205 Avenue; C-71(867) on 63rd Street between 48th Avenue and County Links, and C-71(869) on 280th Avenue between Highway 22 and Lake Oconee, all in Platte County, Nebraska with the exception of Q Boulevard being in Polk County. The projects are referred to as Platte County 2022 Overlays and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of: C-71(808) approximately 5.0 miles of 3 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR with cement stabilization of the subgrade; C-71(851) approximately 3.6 miles 3 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR ; C-71(852) (A) approximately 1.9 miles of a 4 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR , (B) Approximately 0.5 miles of 2 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR , (C) Approximately 4.1 miles of 3 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR ; C-71(856) approximately 4.0 miles of a 3 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR ; C-71(867) approximately 1,000 feet of 2 asphaltic concrete overlay; and C-71(869) approximately 1.5 miles of 8 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR on subgrade preparation; all with cold milling and patching, and other related incidental work. The sealed bids may be mailed or delivered to the Platte County Clerk, Platte County Courthouse, 2610 14th Street, Columbus, NE 68601, and should be plainly marked as, Construction Bid Proposal Platte County 2022 Overlays . Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the County Treasurer of Platte County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and End of Construction date with its Bid Proposal. The desired completion date for all other sites is November 30, 2022. The Contractor will be allowed seventy days (70) for C-71(808), forty (40) calendar days for C-71(851), sixty (60) calendar days for C71(852), forty (40) calendar days for C-71(856), 14 (fourteen) calendar days for C-71(867), and forty (40) calendar days for C-70(869), for completion after beginning work at each site. The completion for each site will be the earlier of the date indicated in the bid proposal, the actual start date plus the allotted calendar days, or the required completion date for that site. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to acceptance by the Platte County Board of Supervisors. Platte County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Dept of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Dept of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in consideration for award. The Platte County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act s competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb.Rev.Stat. 23-3110 to 23-3114.
