Letter of Interest for pre-qualifications of design-build services for Pawnee Park Baseball Field Lights. Construction project to begin mid-August 2022 with proposed substantial completion October 1, 2022, and final completion no later than December 1, 2022. The City of Columbus is requesting Letters of Interest from prospective Design-Builders for Ballpark Lighting Upgrades at Pawnee Park Legion Baseball Field. The information provided in the Letter of Interest will be used by the City of Columbus to select (prequalify) at least three prospective Design Builders for the project and they will be eligible to receive Requests for Proposals. If only two Design Builders submit Letters of Interest, per project both will receive the Requests for Proposals. Those firms selected to receive Request for Proposal will be required to provide more detailed qualifying information per requirements of the act. If more than 5 (five) Letters of Interest are received for each project, a selection committee will prequalify the Design-Builder for the project so that only 5 (five) firms receive request for proposals for the project. The Selection Committee would consist of the City Administrator, City Engineer, Public Property Director, Park Superintendent, and a City Council member. The Design-Builder ultimately selected by the City of Columbus will enter into a Design-Build Contract with the City of Columbus to furnish a) architectural, engineering and related design services for the Project and b) labor, material, supplies, equipment, and construction services for the Project. This process is pursuant to Nebraska LB 889, Political Subdivision Construction Alternative s Act. The scope of the Projects are The City of Columbus, Nebraska intends to construct Ballpark Lighting Upgrades at Pawnee Park Legion Baseball Field with a projected project budget of $ 280,000.00.
