You are invited to submit proposals to provide quarterly cleaning and inspections of Full Trash Capture (FTC) Devices in 11 of the City's stormwater catch basins (inlets) located along El Camino Real in the City of Los Altos The City of Los Altos is soliciting proposals to provide quarterly cleaning and inspections of Connector Pipe Screen FTC Devices in 11 of the City's stormwater catch basins located along El Camino Real. Maintenance of these devices is required to maintain proper functioning of trash capture and to ensure the devices do not cause increased flooding risks. The intent of the cleaning and inspections is to ensure the devices can capture trash from stormwater runoff as designed and in compliance with standards set by the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board. Submittals shall include a proposal for providing quarterly cleaning and inspection of the 11 devices over a three-year period beginning in October 2022. The proposal shall describe the methods, personnel, and schedule for clearing of accumulated debris and reporting inspection results to the City including photos. The service provider shall have performed cleaning and inspection of inlet-based full trash capture devices in another jurisdiction or jurisdictions and shall provide a list of those projects with references. The service provider must obtain an encroachment permit from California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in order to perform the cleaning and inspection work over the three years.
