Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Downers Grove, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of 03/28/2022 This project has been awarded to j a johnson paving co in the amount of $1,213,354.76. This project consists of pavement removal and replacement, installation of concrete medians and curb extensions, leveling binder, hot-mix asphalt surface course, curb and gutter removal and replacement and all related work. Project covers approximately 1.4 miles of street (Prairie Avenue from Belmont Road to Main Street, Downers Grove). The Contractor shall schedule his work such that all improvements shall be complete by October 7, 2022. The contractor shall also make special note that any contract work prior to June 7, 2022 must be within the hours of 9:00AM-2:00PM Monday through Friday, until after the school year ends. Majority of contract work in this area should then be complete prior to start of the new school year on August 12, 2022, including striping and restoration. Any work after August 12, 2022 must be within the hours of 9:00AM-2:00PM This work shall consist of the removal of existing P.C.C. Curb and Gutter of the type and size at the locations noted in Schedule of Quantities. This work shall be performed in accordance with Section 440 of the Standard Specifications, except as amended herein.
