The objective of this project is to implement an effective assessment strategy to confirm current site conditions and to achieve lateral and vertical delineation of the previously identified soil and groundwater contamination. This will be done through a drilling program that will draw upon previous assessment findings to advance boreholes in strategic locations to assess soil and groundwater conditions and collect sufficient data to inform next steps. Samples collected during drilling and groundwater monitoring shall be analysed for parameters of concern (PHCs and lead) by an accredited laboratory. A report summarizing the findings of the investigation, including historical results, and recommendations shall be provided to AEP. A tender package will be prepared for the above noted work. Responses will be assessed in consideration of a combination of factors including: contractor experience (years of practice), team qualifications, demonstrated successes in similar projects, service delivery approach, and bid price.
