The PROJECT CLASSIFICATION for this solicitation is: "B" ($100,000 to $500,000) For the purposes of bidding, all Contract Documents used for bidding, must be printed in the size and resolution advertised. The work shall be completed within 180 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquidated damages of $350.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions." Bid prices are irrevocable for a period of 120 days following bid opening. After opening bids, the Procurement Officer may request bidders to extend the time during which the State may accept their bids, provided that, with regard to bids, no other change is permitted. The deadline for questions has been established as February 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM, to ensure that there is enough time to allow for the A/E to provide responses and possible Addendum issuance if necessary. Prevailing wage rates apply to all contracts in the amount of $250,000 or more. Wage rates applicable to projects of $250,000 or more are attached to the specifications *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc., necessary to replace the existing docks at the Deep Creek Lake State Park, 969 State Park Road (Discovery Center) and Waterfront Way (Boat Ramp), Swanton, Garrett County, Maryland 21561. The docks shall be floating with vinyl decking. Floating docks shall be fabricated and installed to allow the Owner to remove the units from the water in the fall, stored near the boat ramp during the winter and placed into the lake in the spring. The proposed project shall include but is not limited to the following: a. The replacement of the existing Boat Docking systems at (2) locations (Boat Ramp and Discovery Center) within the Deep Creek Lake State Park. Assembly will take place at the Boat Ramp. (See Vicinity Map). b. New Decking materials: (Wolf PVC decking, Gorilla Deck or other approved equal). c. The removal and proper disposal of existing boating facilities as directed by the Park Maintenance Management, and the Using agency representative. d. Provide submittals of boat docks. e. Salvage for re-use the existing gangways and attach to the new boat docks.
