Due to the pandemic and the Federal guidelines of not gathering in groups of 10 or more people, people who want to attend the bid opening must do so by telephone. Scope of Work of the Contract includes construction of water, sanitary, and drainage facilities. Bids received after the closing time will be returned unopened. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Board's judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply to this Bid and/or Contract and the Contractor agrees that the Contract can be terminated if the Contractor knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter. The work consists of providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and to construct the Water, Sanitary, and Drainage Facilities in Pod 8 Sec. 5. b. The Project Site. The project is in Lago Mar which is located in the City of Texas City, Texas and Galveston County. From the office of Jones & Carter, the site may be reached by taking US 59 N to IH-45 S and take Exit 17 (Holland Rd.). Continue on the Frontage Road and turn right onto Lago Mar Boulevard; proceed for 1.5 miles and turn left onto Lago Crossing. Continue on Lago Crossing for about 0.6 miles.
